This is a stylish and eye-catching vintage (1970s) solid 18ct Gold Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer with reference 168.045 - 368.845. It is in full working order having been fully serviced in 2024. The watch does not come with box or papers. The watch has a German language dial (for the day indication). The watch weighs a heavy 151.7g of which (based on research) the movement (Omega Calibre 751) weighs 14g. The rest of the watch is solid 18ct Gold, including the entire dial and hands. (The dial is marked "OM Swiss Made OM" which indicates that the dial is solid 18ct Gold.).

At current spot gold price 09/07/25 (=Euros 91 per gram), the gold content of the watch is worth Euros 9,400 (= [151.7 -14]g x Euros 91 x 75%)). The gold value is around 95% of the asking price, the rest being for the value of the Omega brand and the fully functional movement (Calibre 751). The watch is being offered at an attractive (low) price i.e. mainly based on the value of the gold, due to the fact that the watch is over-polished. A previous owner (not me) had the watch polished by someone other than Omega or a qualified polisher resulting in an overall polished, glossy finish on the watch's case and bracelet. The watch is still very attractive imo and wearable but not per original Omega case and bracelet finishing. The watch comfortably fits a wrist of 19cm in circumference. The asking price is fixed as it is essentially based on the current gold price and GOLD IS MONEY. No offers please. If the spot price of gold continues to rise (as it has been doing) the asking price may be adjusted in the future until the watch is sold or is withdrawn. This is a wearable, portable investment; if you like watches and/or believe in gold as a rising long-term investment you should agree that this is a good deal. Look around but you will not find another top Swiss branded solid gold watch of this quality priced at only slightly above its intrinsic gold value.
