I’m offering my Canon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM lens for sale here. This lens is a true highlight for portrait photographers and, according to DxO-Mark, ranks among the three best Canon lenses ever built for the EF system. It delivers fabulous microcontrast in images, combined with an extremely soft bokeh – perfect for stunning portraits.
At the wide-open aperture of f/1.4, short shutter speeds are achieved, which might make the image stabilizer (IS) seem unnecessary at first glance. However, it actually provides a steadier image in the viewfinder and, in my experience, enables faster and more precise autofocus. An absolute top-tier lens for professionals and enthusiasts!
Condition:
The lens is like new. All components work perfectly: The lenses and their surfaces are flawless, the autofocus (AF) and stabilizer (IS) function without issues. Note: When the lens is not powered by the camera, you can hear the compensating lens during movements – this is completely normal and not a defect! The switches, focus ring, bayonet, and housing show practically no signs of use. It has been used sparingly, mainly at a few family gatherings, as portraits are not my main focus. That’s why I’m letting it go now.
The attached photos are current original shots and are binding! (The dust that might be visible on a large monitor is not or barely noticeable in reality.)
